Location

The Church is in the centre of Stokenchurch very close to the shops and Kings Arms Hotel. Stokenchurch is a medium size village historically involved in chair making. it is known as an area with one of the highest concentrations of the spectacular red kites. As well as a variety of shops and pubs the village has a primary school, health centre, church, memorial hall social club/ library, fire station and petrol filling station. It is ideal for commuting situated on junction 5 of the M40. High Wycombe with comprehensive shopping and leisure facilities. Secondary Schools including the renowned Wycombe grammar School and a railway station for London (25 minutes) is 6 miles. London is about 35 miles. There is a bus service to High Wycombe.

Churches are designated within the D1 Use Class. Inter alia this also encompasses , Church Halls, Clinics, Heath Centres, Day Nurseries, Consulting Rooms, Public halls, Art Galleries. Any other use including Residential and Commercial would require Planning Permission. No enquiries have been made by the Agents. Any application for change of use would have to show there was no need to retain the building for community use. In this connection there is a the Longburrow Hall with a small hall which seats 72 people and large hall which seats 126 people. This Methodist Church closed through lack of use.

Spacious entrance hall.The Main Church has stained glass windows and is a very impressive overall 8,82m (29ft) x 15,56m (51ft). Currently there is a false ceiling giving a height of 4.7m 15ft 5in but it is likely there is further space above indicating that it should, subject to planning and building regulation, be possible to obtain two storeys. The Hall runs across the rear and is 9.35m (30ft 8in) x 4.89m (16ft). At the end of the hall there is a store and Well Fitted Kitchen with double bowl sink, wall and floor units. There are male and female cloakrooms.
Note: there is an oil fired boiler with numerous radiators. However the oil tank has been removed and no information is available about the boiler or heating facility.
Outside there is a pleasant garden area to the left hand side. This measures12m (39ft 4ins) wide average x 23.7m (77ft 9ins) deep.
It should be noted there is no parking on site since there is no right of way over the land in front of the gates.

Services

Mains water electricity and drainage are connected. Currently there is a heating system provided by an oil fired boiler and radiators. The tank has been removed so the system is inoperative. No tests or information about the services is available
